Maximum Pressure Minimum Strain
This weekend workshop is specifically designed to look at these problem areas and to teach therapists how to:
- protect themselves
- deliver a safe and effective deep tissue treatment
This workshop is ISRM-accredited, approved by the CThA and the FHT, and provides 14 hours of CPD
training.
Have you ever had wrist, shoulder or back problems while working as a therapist?
Protecting yourself as a therapist and being able to deliver a safe and effective treatment are two components that are vital in giving longevity to all practitioners working clinically, and should be your first step in learning as a deep tissue therapist.
This weekend is all about optimal massage skills:
– safe working posture
– use of the lunge technique
– safe and effective deep tissue techniques
– versatility in patient positioning
– using your body as a safe treatment tool (elbows, forearms, protected digits, and other variations)
– techniques covered in this workshop include neuromuscular technique (NMT) and friction, which can be used as a derivative of NMT.
Time: Saturday 9:30 am registration teaching from 10:00–5:00 pm and Sunday 10:00am–5:00 pm.
