This one day masterclass is for those working practitioners who want to fine tune their working practice and better understand soft tissue dysfunction in everyday life.  This workshop provides 7 hours of CPD training.  Marius Antoniades is a remedial therapist with ten years clinical experience.

Marius currently runs BlueChip Massage CPD School, has his own clinical practice based in SE London, specialises in gaitscan foot analysis and Clinical pilates.  He is also head lecturer at The London School of Sports Massage.

In this masterclass he will show you his approach to tissue body work.

Topics covered

Load transfer
How the body acts as a shock absorber.  Did you know that when you walk your body has to absorb 3 times your body weight for every step you take?  If you run it can be up to ten times your body weight.  Imagine the impact this has on the musculoskeletal system if the shock absorber is not functioning correctly.  Load transfer looks at this phenomenon and the effects it has from foot fall to to neck stability.

Observation
By simply identifying some visual postural analysis you can start to view your clients dysfunctions before they get undressed.

What to look for when your client is prone / supine on your couch.

How to take a global overview of your client whilst treating them, and to read the body as you work.  Understanding soft tissue protective patterns.

Soft Tissue Techniques
Work on your client using a whole range of Soft Tissue techniques.  Assess and reassess during your treatment plan.

Q&A
There will be plenty of practical demonstrations during this lecture where you will be invited to participate via the Q and A session at various points during the day.
